How To Broadcast
Broadcasting at Sportscastlive.com is simple once you make sure that your computer and camera equipment are properly synchronizing with either our web broadcaster or desktop broadcaster.
The web broadcaster works with most webcams without a video capture interface between the camera and the computer. Once you have registered as a broadcaster, you simply go to the My Shows tab and set up your first show (full details are available in our manual, which you can access at the Help Center link.
Your registration comes with a free trial subscription to the site. This will give you adequate bandwidth for testing.
Once you have a show set up in the system, click on Broadcast Now. You will be asked whether to allow the broadcaster to access your computer. Allow this and all of your readable video sources will show up in a drop-down menu. Select your camera and your audio source.
If your camera is not showing up in the menu, that means that it is not transmitting an analog signal and you will need a video capture device in between the camera and your computer. We recommend the Pinnacle Dazzle, which has been tested with the web broadcaster and should work with most cameras. But most video capture devices are inexpensive and will work with the Sportscast LIve broadcaster.
Once your video and audio sources are set, you are ready to broadcast and record your show.
Click Start Broadcast to begin the live feed, and then Start Record when you are ready to record.
When you have completed your broadcast, click Stop Record and then Stop Broadcasting. A Video on Demand presentation will appear on the site and your channel within seconds.
Some cameras may not work with the web broadcaster and may require a desktop broadcaster. You may download the Sportscast Live Desktop Broadcaster anytime you are logged in by going to the Download Broadcaster tab.
